The companions of the Prophet came from a culture where fornication, debauchery, hoein, and getting high (drinking) was rampant. Just like ours is today. It was a way of life for many. Just like today. So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was a match-maker. He strongly endorsed marriage, and the virtues, and benefits of marriage. He would marry people to each other on the spot. The reality is, people are going to have sex, one way or another. No matter how pious they look on the outside.
When people don’t prioritize marriage, they end up prioritizing fornication, homosexuality, depression, or just plain insanity. People have sex today with the same sex, animals, toys, objects, food, machines, or just about anything they can get their hands on, including their hands.
None of that compares with the blessings, and mercy Allah affords to the couple who are married to each other. Despite the problems, and challenges that exist in marriage.
We are living in the end times. According to Rasoolillaah صلى الله عليه وسلم، widespread fornication is a part of those times. Don’t let yourself get caught up in the madness.
